What's a Degen?
Short for degenerate (gambler). One who has bet the over in a game they have no business watching. Chases action like it owes them money — knows the starting pitchers cold, their own bankroll less so.
A degen who tracks every bet — wins and losses — and posts the receipts. Still hunting the edge, just not lying about it. Believes the only thing worse than a cold streak is pretending you never had one.
